AFTER 25 years of professional service in the region, Morison Menon has made a strategic alignment with the 12th top global accounting network Kreston International.
Announcing this progression to Kreston Menon in a press conference, Raju Menon, chairman and managing Partner, Kreston Menon, said that with this strategic movement, the organization is all set to enhance their service range.
“At Morison Menon, we have been providing professional assurance, consulting and business advisory services in the UAE and across the region for the last 25 years. Our commitment and the cherished values have enabled us to successfully expand our footprint in the UAE with nine offices and over 300 people. We felt an inherent need to associate with one of the top global accounting network and the result is Kreston Menon. All the required governmental procedures to incorporate the name change has been completed and our trade licenses in the UAE have been amended accordingly to reflect our new name. There will be no change to our management team and each of our partners are committed to serve our clients with greater vigor and enthusiasm. The core values of Kreston are trust, responsiveness, quality, integrity and collaboration. These values align very much with our core values, which we believe will provide us with additional depth and global competence to enhance the quality of our professional services to the business community at large,” he added.
According to Safiya Haji-Partner, Kreston Menon is fully geared to meet the challenges of the humungous opportunities that the Expo 2020 will bring to Dubai and the UAE.
“Kreston International Limited (‘Kreston’) is a global network of independent accounting firms, headquartered in the United Kingdom and ranked 12th amongst the global professional accounting networks with 200 member-firms and 25,000 professionals in 125 countries. Kreston International is also a Member of the Forum of Firms. This provides us with certain inherent advantages that can be well utilized by our huge client base,” Safiya pointed out.
Elaborating the advantages of the progression Sudhir Kumar, Partner and head-Corporate Communications, Kreston Menon, said: “We are moving from an Association to a Network. The fundamental difference between the two is that the network firms are more operationally and financially integrated across the globe as compared to associate firms. Kreston Menon stands to benefit from becoming part of a global accounting network, in terms of expertise and resource sharing. Moreover, Kreston member firms are bound to comply with the professional standards appropriate to their respective countries and adhere to international standards. Kreston’s globally coordinated quality monitoring and review programme will support us in maintaining these standards. Kreston International is a member of the Forum of Firms, an association of international networks of accounting firms. Being part of this prestigious forum will encourage and require us to follow consistent and high-quality international standards of financial reporting and auditing practices. The change provides us with fresh energy, thoughts and processes, all of which will enable our clients to appreciate us better,” he said.
He also observed that there has been a significant increase in bilateral trade relationship between UAE and India.
“At Kreston Menon, we will work more closely on the FDI and investment opportunities between UAE and India in the near future,” he added. (PR)
