DUBAI – To mark the tenth anniversary of Scott Kelby’s Word Wide Photo Walk, amateur and professional photographers in the UAE highlighted and showcased the architectural design of Dubai.
The one-day event was organized by Kabayan Kamera Klub (KKK), in coordination with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (IACAD), and Mohammad Bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture.
Almost 50 photographers joined and walked at the Dubai Water Canal.
They walked around the canal, which is one of the goals of the annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk.
The participants also socialized, made new friends, and shared their photos taken around the world.
The KKK critiqued the work of the participants and the photos which make the cut that will have the chance to participate in the international level.
According to KKK President Salvador Codo the event is a way to spread the word that Dubai is a beautiful place to live and work in.
“We were also able to project the newest edifice in the emirate through photographs,” he said.
Right before the event, the organizers discussed first the importance of the country’s law concerning responsible use of cameras and social media.
Codo also wants to thank the sponsors and individuals who supported KKK, most especially Fayez Al Marzoqi and Wafa Qasimieh of IACAD.
